We are pleased to announce the appointment of Ms Kalliope Coplin as Preschool Director of Avondale Grammar School for 2009. Ms Coplin comes to Avondale Grammar School after completing a successful seven year contract at another international school in Singapore.

Ms Coplin has completed a Bachelor of Education and Bachelor of Teaching (Early Childhood), her vast work experience includes a variety of roles involving leadership and support with different curriculum areas and teaching practice, including Primary Years Programme and Reggio Emilia Coordinator. Her breadth of experience and wealth of knowledge in Early Childhood Education will compliment and strengthen our existing faculty. The change in leadership structure for 2009 will be, Ms Coplin as the Preschool Director and Ms Vernon as the Kindergarten to Year 2 Coordinator.

The creation of this new role, Preschool Director, together with Ms Coplin’s appointment is testament to Avondale Grammar Schools commitment to our Founding Principles and Philosophy.
