Student Representative Council (SRC)

The Student Representative Council leaders are actively involved in the decision-making process at Avondale Grammar School. Each Semester, two students from each Year 2 – 6 class are selected to meet weekly to discuss relevant issues. The SRC children have an active role in helping sponsor chosen charities as well as look at initiatives to help improve the School.

In 2011 the SRC leaders have helped to organise a very successful Helpers day to raise awareness and vital funds for the victims of flooding in Eastern Australia and the Phillipines. The SRC leaders will also be proactive with their local charity work in supporting organisations such as the Singapore Visually Handicapped Association (SVHA). The SRC has increased awareness of the SVHA in the Schoolin recent years and successfully raised donations to assist with research into the prevention and cure of blindness.
