Assessments are carried out continuously throughout the year and demonstrate each child’s progress within the Stages as set out in the NSW curriculum. Your child’s portfolio is created during the year and documents their progress and achievements.
School reports are given out twice a year in June and December.
Parent interviews occur twice a year in April and September, discussing the progress of children. Teachers will also comment on a child’s ILP.
Avondale Grammar School participates in the Australian National Assessment Program – Literacy and Numeracy (NAPLAN). The results from the national literacy and numeracy tests provide an important measure of how Avondale students are performing in the content strands of numeracy, reading, writing, spelling, grammar and punctuation.
