Mrs Collins moved to Singapore in 2007, due to a new job offer for her husband. She actually started her working life in real estate management in the USA before her passion for learning and children led her to teaching.
Mrs Collins began teaching at Mary Branch Elementary in College Station, Texas and then moved to Francone Elementary School in Houston, Texas before joining Avondale. Mrs Collins specialised in language and arts and at Francone, she taught literacy to Year 2 all day.

Miss Picken decided to move to Singapore at the beginning of 2009 to experience living in another culture. Before joining Avondale she taught in the Catholic system in Australia including Our Lady of Lourdes (Tarro) and St Patrickâ™s Primary (Lochinvar).

Miss Krishnan was born and raised in Singapore but attained her teaching degree from the University of South Australia.
Before joining Avondale she worked as a relief teacher in various primary schools in the east area of Singapore. During her time teaching in the PCF Education Centres, Miss Krishnan lead many enrichment programs including phonics, creative writing, and early reading strategies. Ms Krishnan was one of the original teachers appointed when Avondale opened in June 2007.

Mrs Sinden came to Singapore in 2006 with her husband's work. She loves living in Singapore, although she misses her three children and grandson, living in Sydney.
Having taught for many years, in a variety of educational institutions, Mrs Sinden brings a wealth of experience to Avondale. Over the years, she has taught full time, part time, relief teaching, teaching unemployed and raised 4 children. She especially loves teaching Kindergarten to Year 2.
Mrs Sinden was also a contract writer for 8 years, writing Sunday School materials for 4-5 year olds for Christian Education Publications.
Before coming to Singapore, Mrs Sinden worked at Berowra Christian Community School and Covenant Christian School in Sydney, Australia. Before that, she lived in Jakarta, Indonesia for 8 years with her family and is therefore very familiar with raising children overseas.

Ms Ann Prior-Lim has a passion for life and learning, and her never ending energy and enthusiasm are evident in her rapport with children.
From 2002 until 2009, Ms Prior-Lim worked for an American multinational company in Indonesia, managing an international elementary school and providing individual instruction in a multi-aged group environment. With her expertise, the school was run in a most professional and well-organised manner, providing a solid learning base for the children of expatriates working in Indonesia.
Before that, she taught children with developmental and behavioural challenges at Dover Court Preparatory School for 9 years. Ms Prior-Lim is known to be able to motivate even the most challenging children, inspiring them to learn to the limits of their ability.
She has a special interest in music and drama and has produced and directed musical presentations for school opening ceremonies and concerts.

Ms Fazlyna was born and educated in Singapore. Having been heavily involved in the arts from a young age, she has carved a successful professional career as a Traditional Malay dancer, actress and MC. She has performed both nationally and overseas and has hosted numerous events and high-profile guests including The President of the Republic of Singapore, His Excellency SR Nathan and Senior Minister Goh Chok Tong.
During her 8 years as a professional entertainer Ms Fazlyna has also taught dance to children and recently decided to make education her full-time career. Since finishing her diploma, Ms Fazlyna has taught at Albany Montessori Kindergarten and at Alliance Francaise De Singapour teaching both Nursery and Kindergarten. Ms Fazlyna joined Avondale in 2009 with the view to furthering her early childhood teaching career.
